For some reason God had me and three other men travel to South Asia in mid-January 2014.
For some reason God had some old friends of mine intentionally move to the same area in South Asia around the same time.
For some reason God put it on this pastor’s heart to get FBC engaged with an unreached people group.
For some reason – prior to our trip – God had me ask these old friends – via Skype – to ask the Father to show us, while here, where and how FBC should engage.
For some reason – the day after my friend prayed for us – a senior adult from FBC came to my office to tell me something.
For some reason she felt ‘led’ to tell me something she found in her files at home.
For some reason she came across a file that reminded her of something she and some other ladies prayed for in 1985.
For some reason she felt ‘led’ to tell me she and some other ladies prayed in 1985 – for an unreached people called the Urdu Speaking Muslims.
Got that? The DAY after my missionary friends prayed for God to show us who to work with, this lady came to my office with this information.
Now. . .stay with me. . .
For some reason I didn’t know exactly WHO my friends would be working with here in South Asia.
For some reason I didn’t know until yesterday.
But for some reason – I don’t know why (sarcasm) – they informed me that they . . . have been sent here to work with . . . Urdu Speaking Muslims of this city.
Do we four guys sent out from FBC think the Father has answered our prayers? Ummm. . . You betcha.
The primary purpose for us coming to South Asia was to seek the Lord’s will in who He would have us invest a lot of time, effort, and energy into over the long haul to see them come to faith in Christ Jesus.
Friends, there are 1.5 million of these Urdu Speaking Muslims where we are in South Asia. There’s only one family unit working with them to see them reached.
The Father has made it plain. He wants to see us embrace them, engage them, do everything in our power to help them turn from the darkness to the light of the Gospel of the glory of King Jesus.
Oh, and by the way, for some reason – a Starbucks is opening right here in this city – THIS WEEK.
God is good.
